BEFORE Hardwood INSTALLATION
In your rooms receiving new hardwood, it’s important to remove all furniture, unplug all electronics, take down all wall hangings, and empty out the closets as well. Since new hardwood floors cannot be installed over existing flooring, the old floors will need to be removed completely and properly disposed of. Once the subfloor has been assessed by your installers, and any imperfections have been repaired, you are cleared for hardwood installation. We recommend completing any painting touch-ups in the room before your new floors go down. Also, you need to bring in the hardwood planks into the rooms to acclimate to the conditions and humidity level for at least 48 hours prior to installation.
