BEFORE CARPET INSTALLATION
In your rooms receiving new carpet, it’s important to remove all furniture, unplug all electronics, take down all wall hangings, and empty out the closets as well. Since carpet cannot be installed over existing flooring, the old floors will need to be removed completely and properly disposed of. Once the subfloor has been assessed by your installers, and any imperfections have been repaired, you are cleared for carpet installation. We recommend completing any painting touch-ups in the room before your new carpet goes down. Also, your installer will recommend the best carpet installation method such as glue-down or nail-down based on your carpet type, rooms dimensions, and subfloor conditions.
